In this article authors quote Kleindorfer and Saad (2005). I think this classification of SC risk have very strong point, because it focuses on logistics related risks.
Spekman and Davis (2004) classify SC risk very broadly; SC risks are in material flow, information flow, money flow, security, "relationships flow" (such as opportunistic supplier) and responsible business (CSR).
Kleindorfer and Saad (2005) classify that SC risks raise from supply-demand coordination and disruptions.
I personally prefer latter classification but I can't say why. I guess i have worked too long with numbers.

What makes SCRM difficult to approach is that there are many ways to define supply chain risks and there are so many different risks.
